I am not double posting. My post here is a specific request re Windows 8.1. My post in Windows 10 is expressing my concerns.

I cannot reply to your PM if you choose not to receive PMs – but, in your Windows 10 Updates thread you appeared to be citing the inability to install that update as the source of your problem.

I may have mistakenly took that as a request for help in dealing with your problem.

You then created another thread specifically requesting help in installing the same update you had cited in your earlier thread – to me that was double posting.

Why not just ask for help with the KB in your original thread ?

I have solved the problem.

You cannot download these patches using Chrome. I better not say anything else as I don’t want to be accused of posting on the wrong section of the forum.

I thought that Windows Updates were no longer browser specific – perhaps Win 8.1 is different – but glad you found the solution and thanks for the update.

You can use the Thread Tools dropdown to Mark Thread as Solved.
