Woody, you may want to read this blog by Ed Bott about the Windows 7 RTM date & build numbers:

Better yet, read this Softpedia article, Woody:
      http://news.softpedia.com/news/Windows-7-Build-7600-16385-Is-RTM-Reportedly-117123.shtml
a new 7600.16385.090713-1255 build was recently leaked on the web

so Windows 7 has not really been finalized or RTMed yet.

the interface of Windows 7 is great but in my opinion Windows XP is still a very solid and stable operating system. Right now, I would never give up XP for Windows 7.

If you’re not enamored with the interface, the single greatest reason for upgrading is security. XP has so many holes it’s amazing it’s still floating. Win7 may have a lot of holes, but by and large they haven’t been found yet.
