To whom it may concern:
I do have enough smarts to check device manager, reinstall it, check the router & cables (Dell computer is wired only: light is blinking at the port of the Dell)
Please pass this around to any experts for any suggestions you might have. This is related to problems with my computer AFTER I uninstalled Symantec EndPoint, an antivirus program.
Right now, I don’t have any antivirus on the machine, but I hope when I can download, I’ll get Microsoft Security Essentials.
Any free or paid tools or settings/tricks which could cure this Dell desktop Optiplex 360 System 7 machine to restore Internet access?
I’m going to try a DVD for 32-bit Repair Install tonight when I get home. Pray for me!

I got your message on my answering machine, but when you called, I was working on the machine with the
problem: CleanWipe had completely finished with the Symantec uninstall.
I’ve checked the router (OK, working with other devices)), swapped CAT-5
cables & router ports, made sure the light was blinking at the back of
the computer, reinstalled the device driver for the LAN) . snip. I would
like to get the computer in question back working (on the Internet) no
later than next Monday (our Labor day ) What is your schedule & what is
the time difference between me & you? snip. Could I call you & what’s your number? I have a
