BUT this is from third-party sellers on Amazon and not from Amazon directly. The prices are like $259 + S&H US.

Yep. They’re certainly taking advantage of the fact that a single upgrade runs less than $100. I’d call them “scalpers” but I can see where they’re coming from – supply and demand – and what they’re doing isn’t illegal.

They’re still scalpers, even if what they are doing is legal. Further, it is not a supply and demand issue. The could easily provide copies via download.
