      If I have not installed any December updates yet, then this has been pulled and I shouldn’t have a problem, right?. (Still not updating until I have to)

      Uninstalling the update doesn’t stop the “not genuine” popups, though it will fix the busted troubleshooter and possibly other problems. The -777 patch does nothing when attempting to run it.
      Microsoft f**d up spectacularly here.
