windows 2003 server standard edition can’t log on

I saw a message like this on a clients 2003 server last week “Your Profile Credentials has expired press Ctrl Alt Delete to type in again or change it which I did and it re started but since then, It can not accept the same Administrative password. I did not change the password. As I write, I can not get onto the server desktop to do any thing and it has started to affect day to day business. Please help me asap my job is on the line. I even used some password reset/changer software but still not working.

Is this a Active Directory domain or just a standalone Server 2003 installation? If it’s standalone, you can use a PXE boot cd like UBCD (http://www.ubcd4win.com/) and reset the local administrator password.
