    Hello All,

I hoping someone can help me with a problem i have, i’m not sure if the problem is down to IIS6, FrontPage Server Extensions or if i haven’t set something up that i should have. I’m park of a gaming clan and since i have the quickest connection in the clan and a spacre old PC laying around i have been tasked with hosting the website. I have installed a copy of windows 2003 server edition on the PC (i use W2k3 as my workstation OS because of the stablity), installed IIS6, & FPSE. Another member of the clan has been tasked with designing the site and is using FP 2003 author it and publish it to my server. When using the “publish using FrontPage Server Extensions” option it asks for a UserName & Password but when the user enters his the box just pops up again. I’ve also tried it with the Administrator account and still no joy. I have also tried adding a Hit Counter web component that uses FPSE but that is also not working. I have searched on the net for guides/articles on how to set this up but alas have found nothing. Please help!

    Thanks
    Jamie

Have you double checked the IIS properties for the web site? What sort of directory security are you using?

Just checked security i’m using “integrated windows security”. I’m new to this sort of thing and really ain’t got a clue, i would’ve thought the administrator would be able to do anything.

        Thanks

Did you check the permissions on the ‘Virtual Directory’ tab?
