Si, earlier today I got a notification on my laptop: Windows 11 is available for download. Being a cautious person, I didn’t do anything, and instead decided to do a bit of research on whether the switch was a good idea.
After deciding it wasn’t, I went back to my computer to try and click the “I want to stay with Windows 10” button, but for some reason it was working extremely slowly. Some time passed, my computer was barely functioning, and then I got a message: installing Windows 11. Panicking, I hit the cancel, and went back to the Windows Update panel to confirm that I wanted to keep Windows 10.
After a couple minutes, this seemed to work, and the installation stopped, but my computer was still slow, so I decided to restart it. And then… “Do not turn off your computer. Update at X%”. So yeah, Windows 11 installed against my will, and I couldn’t do anything about it. It’s still rebooting, so I don’t know what I’ll be met with once it starts working again. Wish me luck.
