Sorry to bother you all, I’m sure this is easy, but a Google search gives a lot of out of date answers and I did a search on this site and couldn’t find it.

I want my Windows 10 search bar to NOT search the internet at all, but just search the local machine.  I use google for all my internet searches.

Updated recently should tame Cortana, and this can been used as a standard user but for best effect must be run as Administrator.

Or upgrade to version 1903 where Cortana and Search are separated (for Insiders now, others within a month); and Cortana on the taskbar can be turned off with two clicks, leaving just Search:
