Where is the cheapest place to buy a “legit” Pro upgrade?

I know you can get it for$99 in the windows store. I looked at amazon but everything I see is higher or at least anyone I would trust.

Any places that perhaps give college students discounts

Ok, six and a half hour’s time has gone by and no one has asked the question, so I will:

Do you mean you want to upgrade from Win 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro, or upgrade Windows 10 Pro to something higher? Or, do want to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from some other OS, such as Windows 7 or 8.1?

There, that ought to get the tongues a waggin’!

Sorry i should have clearer. i have WIN10 home and want to upgrade to pro.

And just to be crystal clear i am asking for a legit copy.i have searched google and don’t really see anything but it never hurts to ask.

Your best bet is to go ahead and bite the bullet and put out the $99. There are too many scams out there now.

UNLESS you have a spare retail license key for Win7/8.1 Pro/Ultimate. If so, you could change the product key and the Pro/Ultimate version would allow the free upgrade to Win10 Pro. If you do have that license key, you can check out how to do that.

For information on student discounts available to you, inquire at your school’s student union or bookstore. I may be showing my age, as I am not entirely sure these things still exist in physical form.

Nowadays the School/ College/ University student web portal should accomodate discounts using a student ID card. Question remains whether it works after the student ID card expires.
