Anyone know the differences between the two and why one should consider upgrading?

    Thanks!

According to Gregg Keizer at Computerworld

LTSC, which was once called LTSB, is a specialized edition of Windows 10 Enterprise that promises the longest intervals between OS feature upgrades.

Yeah…currently on 2016 LTSB which is working well.  We were trying to determine if there was enough of an advantage to go 2019 LTSC.

Currently I have only found through Nottage’s article the differences between standard Enterprise and LTSC: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/ukplatforms/2018/06/11/say-no-to-long-term-servicing-channel-ltsc/

What I’m hoping to see is what the difference is between LTSC and LTSB versions.

      Thanks!

LTSB 2016 = Windows 10 v1607, supports hardware up to 7th generation Intel hardware (Kaby Lake)
LTSC 2019 = Windows 10 v1809, supports hardware up to 9th generation Intel hardware (Cofee Lake Refresh)

2019 is based on Windows 1809 and so incorporates most of the benefitical changes, including monthly updates that have only 1/10 of the size of any previous version.

it has the best settings app so far and less conflicts / clutter with old control panel

it offers the most modern Defender protection + ATP and Azure Device Health support and if needed Azure / Hello expierence.

So I recommend it over a 3 years old LTSC 2016.
