AskWoody_MVPMay 11, 2016 at 5:12 pm #42872Four days lag between the build and release is a performance! However unlike what the article says that “One could reasonably infer that the builds are becoming more stable” this is not necessary the case as the time for testing is very short. It is not of any major concern though, it is only an Insider Preview version after all and as we have seen before, sometimes even those versions get patched when needed.
While I don’t want to add to the controversy about AdBlock and AdBlock Plus, I know that the “Plus” version is the one about which everyone knows a lot more and who owns it, while the other one is likely a good quality clone developed for Chrome before the Plus was made available for Chrome and this is why it took off. AdBlock Plus was developed originally for Firefox. I use Plus for the reasons above, not because the other one is inferior. I am also a Firefox supporter, while using Chrome and IE11 (without blockers) as much, but with less passion. But I may revisit the blockers again if they become commercial beyond acceptability. However the developers have to make a living and this is understandable, only that it needs to be transparent too.
It will be interesting to see if Edge will become a true competitor of the other 3 main browsers (only 2 main browsers according to Woody and others). I am not convinced by Edge browser quality yet and I stopped using it for now.
