$61 for year one, doubling it for each year.

Like it was with Windows 7 there will be a serious of command line/scripts that once the ability to purchase the ESUs I will document on the site.

I think 0patch will be more competitive, and very likely what we’ll use if we need more time to transition to new hardware for Windows 11.

      Current pricing…

In a business setting, ESUs will be approved by Cyber insurance companies whereas 0patch may not. This gives us options.

For homeusers, 0Patch fits the dollar, pound sterling, yen or euro bill size!
Business can pay the incremental ransomware 🙂

I’ll email 0patch and ask them.

With a lot more WIN10 users than WIN11 ones at this point and little less than 19 months to go, I winder what Microsoft’s plan B is.

How do you KNOW this isn’t plan B?

      Email response from 0patch…

“Unfortunately we don’t have this information. From what our customers tell us about compliance and insurance with respect to 0patch, it seems to be an individual decision on part of the auditor/insurer. 0patch is not that well known in auditing/insurance industries so they have to make a per-case decision on whether to accept it as a suitable mitigation or not. We’ve so far always seen customers deciding to use 0patch after having such questions, but I would be surprised if someone’s auditor/insurer also didn’t accept 0patch and the customer just hasn’t shared that with us”.

Cyber insurance companies allow the insured to indicate during the application process if they have taken alternative measures to protect something.

However this opens up the company to refuse coverage.

New update to article at link above, dated the day after the original article:

“Editor’s note 4.3.2024: The details and pricing structure outlined in this post apply to commercial organizations only. Details will be shared at a later date for consumers on our consumer end of support page.”

Garbo Edit: Originally misread the date “4.3.2024” above which is in US format, rather than the more logical UK “dd/mm/yyyy” format I’m more used to 🙂
