    I am running Widows 10 Pro Version 1793, Build 15063.413.

    I am unable to drag and drop anything to  the desktop.

    Is there any work around or utility  that  would  allow  this?

      What are you trying to drag, and from where to the Desktop? Please be specific.

      I am unable to drag any icons on the desktop If I try, I get a small black circle with a \ through  it. I am  unable to drag anything to the desktop. I can copy and past to  the desktop. Auto arrange is not turned on.

      Problem  solved.

      I upgraded from Windows 7 where I was using Stardock Fences version 2. Apparently that caused the problem. I upgraded to  version 3 and the problem  is fixed.
