A note on Windows 10 22H2 update. Over 2 weeks ago, I updated 4 Dell computers (Latitude E6400 w/SSD, OptiPlex 990 sff w/SSD, OptiPlex 9010 sff w/SSDs, & OptiPlex 7070 sff w/SSD). For each computer, the update download took less than 3 minutes, the install took less than 4 minutes, and the reboot took less than 5 minutes. The newer computers took less time than the older commutes to complete each step (phase). The computer’s age span from 2011 to 2020.
On the OptiPlex 7070, I had applied the registry tweak to hold major updates at the 21H2 version. I resumed updates but the 22H2 update did not display as available. So, I ran and enabled InControl and then disabled it. Windows 11 22H2 update then displayed as available. The 7070 is the only computer with the TP2 module. I then ran InControl again and enabled at the Windows 10 22H2 update version/release and Resumed Updates. The Windows 11 update did not display but the Windows 10 22H2 update did displayed as ready to install which I did.
I resumed updates on the OptiPlex 990, which is a test PC, and the November Window 10 updates installed. No issues were apparent.
