What causes O2K running on 95 or 98 but maybe other OS as well, to change from full screen to small square when opening Digest mail in HTML/ Mime form?

I have been receiving mail for some time and every now and then the digest contents open up in the upper left corner of the screen and I have to expand the messages to read them.

I don’t know if there is a common thread here such as improper shutdown, “repair” operation on O2K, reinstall… I can’t finger an incident which would trigger this behavior but it drives me crazy when it happens and I can’t restore full screen permanently.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

it is usually caused by using the send to menu in IE or another application. Until you resize, the windows will be small… until you send to again.

Why is not all mail received affected in this manner? Only the digest mail, not other email?

If your suggestion is true, why is this strange behavior limited to my digests?

When I send mail via IE I always resize the window to full screen prior to sending.

When I receive such mail sent to my address as a test, that mail is opened full screen via Outlook. Yet, the Win98-L digests are small windows and they are not sent via IE as they originate elsewhere.

There has got to be a different explanation.
