I started using Microsoft antispyware and was clicking around the tool section.
I clicked on System Explore and then Networking, then Windows Host File.

    In that section was listed:

The hosts file is a local translation of hostnames to IP addresses. It can be edited with any text editor – but note the full file name is hosts. there is no .txt extension at the end of the file name. It lives in the folder C:WindowsSystem32DriversEtc (but the top level may be something other than C:Windows in your installation).

If you remove this entry (or comment it out by putting a # at the beginning of the line) then your PC will use DNS to find out the IP address of http://www.wopr.com. If you can’t access the lounge after making this change then uncomment it again.

Did you add it when the Lounge server moved, as per post 372045?

You know, I sorta do remember doing some fancy things at that time. I remember having problems getting on to the board. I just don’t remember doing anything with the ‘Windows host files.” But I might have just followed some of the instructions.

Anyway, everything works fine, was just wondering about it.
        Thanks for the information.
