• Window 10 1903 or 1909?

Currently at Windows 10 1903 build 18362.836.  Any good reason to go to 1909 that anyone know of?  Just asking if I should move up?

Minor updates in 1909 more like a service pack plus. BUT, you do have a longer support window if you update.

Thanks, but do you know when support for 1909 expires, please?

For any version of W10 you can check the Windows lifecycle fact sheet.

Each version is serviced for 18 months from release date, although an exception is being made for 1809, “due to public health situation”.

There is a little less than a year of support left for 1909 (by a matter of days).

Don’t touch it having serious problems with it, looking to downgrade a system to 1903.

Thanks for that; much appreciated. It confirms that I’ve been right to avoid 1909 up to now. Maybe Microsoft needs a new strapline, ‘Never knowingly trusted’? (Surely that’s not personal, political, bad language or religious…?)

Woody has recommended going to 1909 and from most reports there seems no reason not to backup and upgrade – @Xtype hasn’t told us why it’s a problem so it isn’t possible to judge his response.

          cheers, Paul
