    I’m on Windows XP now and so may have missed some discussion on this. But I want to know if there is any discussion of the Windows 8 firewall vs third party products. Is the Windows 8 firewall inbound and outbound, like all the free firewall products, or only inbound? Is there any online analysis?

      Since Win 7 the Windows firewall has been 2 way. It’s not as straight forward to configure for outbound traffic as some, but many people do not believe the outbound protection is nearly as vital as inbound anyway. This is not necessarily my feeling.
