These patches, KB4512514 (Win7) and KB4512478 (Win8.1)  are Preview ROLLUPS, too, so NOT for Group B people.

Edit to correct KB number for Win8.1

I also noticed in AKB2000003, PK, that KB4517298 adds the various VB fixes… & supercedes the SO Update KB4512489? If so, that would sidestep the Preview Rollup… which I do anyway. BTW, is it KB4512518 for Win8.1… or KB4512478?

Bought a refurbished Windows 10 64-bit, currently updated to 22H2. Have broke the AC adapter cord going to the 8.1 machine, but before that, coaxed it into charging. Need to buy new adapter if wish to continue using it.

KB4517298 is ment for Group B model (Security Only)

as long as the new preview rollup contain the fix, you should not mix the two rollups
well, unless you don’t install Preview rollups
