I have 14388 on one of my test PCs which looks like release. Among other things, the version number disappeared from the desktop and it allows me to quit the Insider Track while saying that Windows 10 is activated. Quitting the Insider Track was never working during previous Preview versions.

That’s a great question, and I don’t know the answer. We haven’t seen it in action yet.

The Anniversary Edition is an upgrade according to the Microsoft rules (like the 1511 November Release). It should be deferred, at least in theory.
