Yes, customers are so satisfied that Win7 remains firmly entrenched in spite of the free offer and Microsoft’s underhanded tactics.
Ugh.

GuestJune 29, 2016 at 4:24 pm #40138Now, now… Microsoft doesn’t want you to look deeper into their “statistics”. You’re supposed to respond “Ooooh!!! That’s a REALLY BIG number, so it MUST be impressive”.
Similarly, you mustn’t analyse their recent “6 billion Cortana voice queries” stat any deeper, or you’ll (shock-horror) discover that amounts to a much less impressive ~1 voice query per Windows 10 device per week.

GuestJune 30, 2016 at 6:59 pm #40140Don’t you think it’s funny the free upgrade ends just ahead of the anniversary edition? I think they are trying to entice as many suckers as possible before they release their overbearing embedded ads and increased Spyware 2.0 initiative. Oh by the way the new Anniversary edition won’t let you roll back to the previous version either chump…
Anniversary edition… Sound’s so festive! Let’s celebrate! Weeee…

ManagerJune 30, 2016 at 8:09 pm #40141Now that’s an interesting question.
I upgrade from Win7 to Win10 on July 28. Then I upgrade to the Win10 Anniversary Edition on Aug 3.
Can I then roll back to Win17?
UPDATE: Looks like the answer is no. Looking back on the build 1511 update (the “Autumn Update”), Microsoft’s automatic update routine – which installed 1511 onto most machines – wouldn’t automatically install on machines that could be rolled back. Installing 1511 would wipe out the Win7 (or 8.1) rollback partition, making rollback impossible. The 1511 installer wouldn’t do that, but you could install 1511 manually. http://windowsreport.com/windows-10-1511-rollback/
