win explorer default view

I want to always see the details view in every folder when I open windows explorer.
But it always defaults back to large icons.
It must be very simple I am sure! can anyone help please

Open explorer and set the view to the style you want.
Then
Tools > Folder Options > View
Click on the “Like current folder” button and make sure the “Remember each folder’s view settings” option is DE-selected.
