    I’d like to get Windows Explorer, which I’ve set up as a desktop shortcut, to open to Local Disk (C:) instead of My Documents, which it does currently.

      Right click on the desktop shortcut, select properties and change the Target to…
      C:WINDOWSEXPLORER.EXE /n,/e,c:

          You’re welcome. You will find all the switches for Explorer.exe in the file C:WindowsTips.txt
