    service pack 1 failed to install

    win 7 professional

      If you used Windows Update, I recommend you download the full version from Windows 7 service pack 1. You want the x64 version second from the bottom of the list of files.

      Have you performed the steps at Troubleshooting service pack 1 installation?

        Ok its been instsling for over an hr i guess ill let it run all night

      I would also suggest, in addition to downloading the file as Joe suggests, when you are ready to go, disconnect from the internet so you can safely shut down your security apps and all other running apps before running the install.
