win 11 surface pro wrong drivers won’t boot

I have recently bought a surface pro 8. I used winzip driver updater to update the drivers. after rebooting the surface would not run. after much investigation I have come to the conclusion the the driver for the SSD was updated incorrectly. I now need to replace the driver but I cant get the surface to boot from a USB stick. I downloaded the win11 iso and put it on a USB stick. when I tell the surface 8 to change the boot order to put USB as the first choice to boot from and reboot I get the first screen of a new installation but cannot get the screen to accept input to continue on. any advice as to how I should proceed would be most welcome.

Question to make sure:  Assuming you can boot to the USB thumb drive are you able to navigate the menus using either your mouse or arrow/enter keys?

Generally speaking all of the surface drivers are on WU so you shouldn’t ever go to a third party site.

Surface devices are always a pain in the rear to get them to boot from the usb

Also use rufus to make the bootable flash and do GPT not MBR
