After pausing Win 10 updates 30 days I clicked resume updates. Got checking for updates and then it auto installed this HP driver HID Class 2.1.11.1 dated 7/29/2019. I Goggled and could not find any info on this driver. It did not seem to hurt anything but just curious as to what this is. Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the MS link. Strange, though, that list only shows the latest update as 5/16/2019 ver 2.1.10.1 while what I got was as of 7/29/2019 ver 2.1.11.1.  Neither that list or HP’s website or Google show the 2.1.11.1 version. Are all those lists just slow updating or did I get a bogus update??

It seems so. On the other hand the new driver may have been released and pulled due to a problem.
If you have no problems using your HP than leave it at that.

Maybe if you installed the HP Assistant, it will show you all the latest & greatest for your system (primarily all the HP software) will be listed for you if you wanted to check it’s status\bogus via the assistant app? You can always uninstall it as soon as you know where you’re at with your HP gear – pretty much what I do to cross-reference my HP gear, that way my belief is 100% using their tools, cheers ; >)

Thanks for the info. Seems I had HP assistant but never used it. Tried it but it only listed updates avail for download. Went back to Google, found HP driver search tool which ironically listed for my PC avail button drivers 2.1.3.1 for Win 1709 and 2.1.4.1 for Win 1803. I guess it did not list one for Win 1903 that I have since it already downloaded that. Also found an issue in HP community where 2.1.11.1 pending install blocked download of Win 1903. I guess Alex5723 above has the right idea that they must have pulled it with problems. I found somewhere else on Google that you cannot uninstall these HP button updates and searched everywhere on my PC but could not find it or any thing close to it. Oh well I guess I am lucky it has so far not impacted anything but so frustrating that Win 10 FORCED this update.
