All of a sudden I have lost the ability to access HTTPS sites — my bank, medical supplier, insurance etc. The green band extends over the name in the address area but nothing ever appears. Just white space. I’ve tried both CHROME and IE9.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 13, 2012 at 3:19 pm #1314334Many of the sites in questions have been have been upping there security for obvious reasons. Just recently I have started having problems accessing the bill pay portion of my banking site using IE 9 so I just use Chrome 17 for this activity. These things happen from time to time as these secure sites continue to try to stay ahead of the bad guys. I hate it as much as the next guy, but I want to keep my money and other assests safe. I suspect this might be your problem.
Are you able to access non-secure sites (HTTP) with no problems?

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 19, 2012 at 5:45 pm #1315251I did not do anything other than use Chrome for this one type transaction to my banking site. That’s why I keep a back up browser. I suspect there might be something like that keeping that portion from working, but I do not know what it is so I just us Chrome when I have to pay bills. Perhaps someone will come up with a solution that fixes your problem and helps me as well. Until then I use Chrome when I find a site IE 9 does not work on.
