Why does NOTEPAD always open on Startup?

I have had access to several systems running ME and nearly all of them, once booted, seem to have Notepad running in the task list.

Does anyone know why this happens and how to stop it?

have you tried running msconfig
you may be able to stop note pad from loading there
i’m running ME and my computer does not do this
if you need more help with msconfig just post

You haven’t got a fancy “internet” keyboard do you?

I know if I press one of the “extra” keys before my Desktop is fully loaded and ready for use, it will launch one of the Accessories programs (such as Notepad or Calculator).

I wonder if you may have a stuck (or sticky) key.
