      Just a simple remark. I do use DuckDuckGo, but I also use Vivaldi. Vivaldi is ‘friendlier’ IMO.

      Because they want to know where you are so they can push ads at you as you walk past stores so you’ll by stuff Say you bought epensive sneakers  months ago and you walk past the sneaker store. Guess what pops up on your phone? Too intrusive for me. I have everything turmed off except phone and sms. And when I buy stuff and people want my email? I give them a duckduckgo generated one.
