If you have multiple modules in a file, and in each module is a user define function ARG(..), which version is used when the function is called from a cell? In cell D5 is =ARG(C5). Which version of ARG is called?

You should get an “ambigous name detected” error since excel (like most of us) is wondereing why you want multiple functions with the same name.

      Hi,
Assuming all your functions are public, you should get an ambiguous name detected error. Is that not what happens to you?

Sorry, no error. I expected an error when I saw how all this thrown together, but no such luck.
Not a major problem. Just a curious oddity.
On a parallel tack, Function calls to functons use the ones in the current module and then in other modules?

As far as I know, yes, they will use the one in the same module.
Re the formula calling the function, was the formula entered before the other identically-named function was created? If so, if you select the cell, hit f2 and then enter, do you get an error?

no error when the function is updated. Perhaps my eyes are bad and the calls are different and I am just not seeing it. I have tried to reproduce this combination and I do get the error.
