There is an error listed in my event viewer (WIN7).

The driver detected a controller error on DeviceHarddisk2DR2.

Which disk is Harddisk2 and what is DR2?

Is Harddisk2 the third port on the SATA bus (in the sequence 0,1 2,3) or possibly the third drive on the disk mamagement screen (in the sequence 0,1 2,3) or it could be the second drive in (in the sequence 0,1 2,3) as sometimes I see disk 0 listed as disk 1 (because it is the first drive).

If DR2 is the partition, then is it the second or third partition?

Take a look in diskmgmt.msc and see how the (your) drives are labeled.

As far as I know, in WIN7 on the disk management screen, the drives are always labeled Disk 0, Disk 1, etc but in some utilities, I have seen disk 0 referred to as disk 1 since it is the first drive. Also I am not sure if Harddisk2 if the drive number or the SATA port since it is proceeded by Device. The event ID is 11.
