Hi! Can you help me find an alternative to TeamViewer? I’ve been using it, but now I’m getting a timeout message without any connection. Heard there are some limits with TeamViewer, and it seems I’ve hit them. Any suggestions for a better software? I’m on Windows 10, connecting to both Windows 10 and 11, and looking for a free tool without any limitations.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

I don’t think a full featured free tool exists without any limitation. However, for personal non-commercial use AnyDesk is a good choice. The pro version is a subscription.
Desktop Asus TUF X299 Mark 1, CPU: Intel Core i7-7820X Skylake-X 8-Core 3.6 GHz, RAM: 32GB, GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti 4GB. Display: Four 27" 1080p screens 2 over 2 quad.

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 11, 2024 at 3:35 am #2622604Hi! If you’re on Windows, there’s the built-in Windows Remote Desktop software. It’s handy, but setting up a connection can be a bit trickier compared to TeamViewer. Another option is https://www.helpwire.app/ It’s a new app, user-friendly, free, and no limits. Chrome Remote Desktop, AnyDesk, or GoToMyPC are also solid choices.

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 28, 2024 at 5:19 pm #2632171I’ve had the same thought about the “completely free” part so I reached out to their support. Here’s what I got:
“We chose to launch HelpWire as a free service to gain traction and build user base in this competitive market. We want to assure you that we do not sell any private information to third parties as a means of covering our expenses. Fortunately, our company has a range of successful products, and the revenue generated from these is currently supporting HelpWire.”
