I’m sure this has been answered before, but I can’t seem to get the right words to locate the answer. I know there’s a file that stores email addresses that have been entered, so that when I start to enter a name, Outlook autofills it. And if I change a contact’s email address, that file doesn’t get changed, so I think I’ve completely removed the obsolete email from my system, but I type in ‘ric’ and mail goes to the obsolete address unless you’re more careful than I am. I also know that I can either edit that file directly and remove the obsolete item, or just delete the file and let Outlook rebuild it. Or am I incorrect about this and it’s that I can re-initialize the file but shouldn’t delete it?
So the questions are: what (and where) IS that file, how do I edit it or is it better to just delete it and can I do that in Windows Explorer? Thanks.
