Can anyone out there tell me where to find the Data Management tool in Outlook 2013 please? I finally upgraded (from Office 2007) to 2013 a couple of weeks ago, and at the time I remember seeing the option somewhere initially, but now I will be darned if I can find it. I want to compact the *.pst file, and it used to be under “Settings” and “Data Management,” but I can’t find the option now in 2013.
And on a related note, one of the reasons I upgraded is because my wife insists on storing incoming mail files with large attachments on them in Outlook 2007 with its *.pst file size limit of 2 GB. She was constantly getting notices of being on the brink of the limit, so when I upgraded to Office 2013 with Outlook’s reported *.pst file size limit of 5 GB, I was surprised when she still got the same warning to decrease her file size limit. Is there REALLY a higher file size in 2013 and if so why does she still get the warnings?
If someone will tell me where to find the tool in Data Management and/or Settings so I can compress the *.pst file that will be temporary relief, at least until I can do something more permanent. . . .like figure out just what the size limit REALLY IS now in the first place.
