Does anyone know which file(s) custom label definition store in? Want to share several customized label definitions with others?

In Word 97, custom label definitions are stored in the Windows Registry, under HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice8.0WordCustom Labels. each custom label having a separate entry. I suppose it is the same for Word 2002, with 10.0 instead of 8.0 (Office 97 = version 8, Office XP = version 10).

If you can use RegEdit (if you’re on a network, you may not have sufficient rights to start it), you can export the key mentioned above to a .reg file. Edit the file in Notepad to remove custom label definitions you don’t want to share, then make the .reg file available to others. By opening the file, they will import the custom definitions into their Registry.
