ManagerJune 23, 2016 at 8:18 am #40277I haven’t updated it since I started running detailed descriptions of the beta builds.
The next big step will be a review of Win10 Anniversary Update edition 1607. Not sure when that’ll run, but it should be shortly after we get the “RTM” build.
After that, I’ll keep the “Everything you need to know” document updated as we see new features.
The really, really big step will be the release of the 2nd edition of “Windows 10 All-In-One For Dummies.” Don’t have a publication date yet, but it’ll be a month or so after build 1607 hits.

GuestJune 23, 2016 at 11:13 am #40278Woody, great gedanken comments in your InfoWorld article. Microsoft appears to not understand that people in the real world replace motherboards for two reasons: to replace a defective one and to upgrade for more features. Microsoft employees assert on Microsoft Answers that the motherboard, processor, drive, and other components are all considered when activating a license, but I’ve always had to consult with the oracle of India when replacing a motherboard, even if the processor, drive, and RAM are the same as before.
W-10 is a beta OS and probably always will be. Not only does Microsoft make money on user data as Google and Facebook do, but it outsourced much of its testing to its users.
