What is Windows 10 x64 – RS5 Edition

I came across this advisory from Intel (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/security-center/advisory/intel-sa-00243.html).  It seems to apply to OS earlier than:  Windows 10 x64 – RS5 Edition.

 

If I’m running Windows 10 x64 1909 will that be affected ?

Redstone 5 (RS5) was the pre-release codename for version 1809:

It’s not a public name
It’s important to understand that these are just codenames for the feature update development, and not the names that Microsoft plans to use once the update is available to the public.

We know better than wikipedia

it’s still codenamed Redstone 5 and it’s entirely correct to refer it as RS5

even Microsoft itself refered to v1803 as RS4 when it announced new MS Edge deployment through Windows Update

Where?

They had used RS4 instead of 1803 in the Blocker Toolkit for Microsoft Edge updates documentation, until I told them it was wrong two months ago; they agreed and corrected it: https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/EdgeEnterprise/issues/22
