What has Windows 11 Desktop Calendar got to do with Outlook

Had a Yahoo email on the screen while I quoted order number to supplier – needed to know a future date, clicked desk top Calendar and a whole page of <span class=”yKMVIe” role=”heading” aria-level=”1″>irrelevant</span> info regarding Outlook appears on the screen.

Not what I wanted!!!

The Windows Mail and Calendar app is going to be replaced by the New Outlook for Windows. Microsoft is trying to get as many people as possible to switch now.

No reason to be messing with existing apps inorder to promote the new!

Can’t help thinking that the update that caught out Win 10 users in Jan ’24 was about selling Win 11 – “oh dear my win 10 is bust, must dash out and get a Win 11 box”
