Hello,

What free photo sharing website is the best?
or
What is the best free photo storage solution to link to your photos?

I use a message board website, to conserve space they don’t allow you to post pictures directly to the message board.
They have you link to a photo sharing website to view the photo.

I have used Photobucket, but until recently their free version is being bombarded with all sorts of video Ads, tech scam popups.
It has become completely unusable junk.

Where could a person put their photos for free so all you see is just the photo or photo library?

Absolutely no question that Google Photos is the best photo site.

They’re so far ahead of all the other sites that it’s a wonder they still exist. And it’s free.

@ Woody- I completely agree. It is by far the very best on the market. I have used about 10 other like programs and non, thus far, come close to Google’s offering.

Does anyone know how long https://photos.google.com/ plan on sticking around.
It seem like these photo sharing sites eventually drop out.

I’m looking for a long term solution.
Isn’t there a free personal website option where you could store your photos.

Here is a recent article on current image hosting sites.  Google is among them.  I have a free account with Flickr, but I wonder how long it will survive with all the changes at Yahoo.  But they do have 13 billion photos and 2 million groups, so it may be a while.

As far as hosting your own personal website, here is a list of nearly free, and free, web hosting options.  If you are inclined to roll your own, this may be the way to go.

If you are interested in marketing your photos, or having an online store, Squarespace has a comprehensive solution set for hosting, with well as many website template designs available.

They seem to be a popular choice, but not for free.  It starts at $12/month.  But it looks really cool!
