Other than PowerPoint, what is available for presentations?

I have seen very clever presentations given with web pages. Of course, not all of the functionality of PPT is available on the web.

      What is your goal?

Wow, there are lots of things.
      Apple just introduced Keynote.
There are a million photo album-type presentation packages.
There’s Astound, but I don’t know if it’s being updated any longer. Same with Freelance and Harvard Graphics and Persuasion.
A search on Google for Presentation Software turns up a bunch specifically targeted for churches.
There’s the Open Office presentation package, Impress.
      Corel Presenter is another.
There’s also Flash and a slew of programs designed to convert PPT files to Flash.

Nothing, really. Microsoft has crushed them all or will very soon, so there’s no point in even trying anything else.

      Ha ha. Not quite yet.

I think you need to choose your tool based in significant part on the ultimate endpoint. Flash is fabulous for web sites, but might feel “overproduced” for (or tempt you to spend too much time on) a quick business presentation. PowerPoint integrates well into webconferences, but it isn’t great for locking down your IP and presents security issues. For slide shows that you plan to author and run “solo,” I think the only limitation is whether the products have the features you want.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
