    Please see attached sample. No matter what I do (again, someone else’s spreadsheet), I can’t enter a number into any cell that doesn’t automatically convert the number into a 2-digit decimal – for example, if I enter 123456 the result is 1234.56 – WHY????? The fomatting, as far as I can see, is correct – I turned off the interation – made sure the language is English – don’t know what else to do.

      Howdy. In Tools > Options > Edit, the box next to “Fixed decimal” (on left side) should be unchecked. It might be checked and set to 2. This would be your system causing it. When I opened the spreadsheet it worked fine (no decimals).
