weird behavior in Win10 v1909

i have a MS Surface Pro 3.1 running windows 10 pro 1909 v18363.592.  windows explorer keeps opening up showing the micro sd card contents.  i close the window and it keeps coming back after a few hours.

anyone have a clue as to what is causing this?

Sounds like an intermittent connection to the SD card. Have you checked to see it is properly seated? What is your default action for the SDcard when it is detected?

If it isn’t an Autoplay setting, defective SD card, or defective SD slot………..

Could it be that you’re using OneDrive and it’s trying to sync to the SD card ?

looked at default actions, made sure the sd card was securely seated, i don’t use onedrive, and rebooted the machine.  so far, so good.  so maybe it was a loose card.  thanks for all the pointers.
