Using Internet Explorer 6, completely patched. Whenever IE is launched, receive a message that iexplore.exe encountered an error and needs to shut down. Module is webband.dll.
Did a search on google and came up with three posts in Groups where other people had the same problem; only one response said to check for parasites and that it may have been caused if a toolbar was created.
Ran AdAware, which found two things, but nothing that apparently was affecting IE as it still doesn’t work. Did have Google Toolbar, removed it and it worked long enough to go out and check for any more patches, but the next time IE was opened, same problem.
Any ideas out there?
