I hope this is the right place to post this question. I saw a reference in this forum to http://www.outfront.net as a good source of information for new FrontPage users, of which I am one. I have minimal experience in web development – I’ve had a small website hosted by Yahoo for about 6 months. I saw that Outfront hosts websites, and it looks like a better deal for the money than what I’m getting with Yahoo. Has anyone had any experience with Outfront hosting their site? I’m getting ready to start a second site and I’m thinking about placing it there. I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks so much.

      Lee,

I am not certian as what you are looking to gain from Outfront and unfortunately I have no dealings with them to give you much feedback, however, I have designed many sites from personal to professional and there is always one thing I try to keep in mind. If it is my personal website, and I don’t care that is is being supported by a teenager from Texas WITHOUT a support phone number or a live body I can talk to when they don’t flip the FP extensions– then by all means go with the cheap hosting companies. However, if you want support, and you want to save a lot of frustrations when things go wrong–because they will, then pony up the extra money and go with a hosting company that gives you what you pay for.

Personally I do all mine through Dreamworxhosting.com. Talk to Jim he will hook you up.

I have never used OutFront’s hosting services, but the rest of their products and services are very good so hopefully their hosting matches.

I personally use Glob@t because of the massive amount of space and well-rounded offering. Their support has been decent thus far. I have also seen favorable remarks about 1 and 1 but have not used their service.
