If you’re updating devices that are already running Windows 11, version 22H2, you can use an enablement package for a fast, easy installation process.

Or… use these links courtesy of Abbodii

For 64bit computers (most systems) use the link above
For Arm based machines (some surface/tablet devices) use this link.

Mind you I don’t recommend moving to 23H2 at this time, but IF you wanted to test it out on some computers, there’s the link for the fast install.

I already had the “Moment 4” update installed without any problems. So, I installed the enablement package without issue. Now running 23H2 on Win 11 Pro.

Does that mean you are letting copilot run wide open?

    • #2599885

That was a question to Joe who had just taken 23H2. Had he disabled copliot via policy or registry, or was he running it?

I’m also running 23H2 with Copilot, so I’m curious about what you think it’s open to.

I have not disabled or hidden Copilot. BUT, I don’t use it either. Haven’t had the time or inclination to experiment with it yet.

Some folks think it accesses your private info though I may be confusing that with 365 copilot. A post by @SB caused me to shut copilot off. Maybe I should not have. (I am still on 22H2 and have not taken 5031455 or 5027397)

If you don’t use Edge/nor bing chat, I’ll have to test if the system is doing anything else that it hasn’t done before.  I doubt it. On my testing box that has 23H2 there is a copilot preview icon that once I launch it and ask it a question it asks if I want to use Edge to augment the results.  It still very much feels like “Crappy search results from Bing in a nicer interface that scrolls out typing” so I’m still not seeing what all the hype is about, nor can I ever see the justification of $30 a month for the Microsoft 365 version of it.

Works on unsupported hardware equally well.  Both my NAS (circa 2013 hardware) and my Latitude E5420 (2011) are now running Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.2506) without issue.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!
