Does anyone know of a voice-to-text program that can work in Windows 7? It doesn’t have to have either bells or whistles, ok to make mistakes, not punctuate, etc. I have a computer with a microphone that works well so perhaps that could suffice for the voice part.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

I you haven’t tried this, it might be suitable.

Windows Speech Recognition: This is a built-in feature in Windows 7, allowing you to dictate text and control your computer with voice

You can set it up by going to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > Windows Speech Recognition.

Thank you, Techno Tango! I didn’t know about this feature and after reading your post I found it!  I will try it tomorrow. I am hoping I can talk into Open Office or Libre Office, but I will be happy with anything that works.
