Just downloaded this, but haven’t test-driven yet…

I was about to say it would have been a cool find to classify my CDs’ contents, but just after trying it I noticed that the default action for JPG files had been set to File Split instead of Open. I don’t know what other modification could have been made, because no longer had I noticed the changes than I uninstalled . Apart from this, the program has a nice way to display CDs’ contents: exports to HTML, CSV, TXT, and has an option to save the Tree.
It doesn’t limit to CDs: it’ll work with any other drive as welll (ie, HDs).

Thank you for the quick response, it is similar to many other cataloging programs and has the definite advantage of being free. 1Disk creates a virtual hard drive on your system and builds a database around the disk. If you have two or more folders on the removable media it combines them on this virtual hard disk in an explorer type window. You select the file you want and the software gives a dialog box asking for the media by whatever identifying number you had previously selected. I really wish it would work on Windows XP Home. Their tech support reckon it does????
