    God how I hate Vista.
But as I need to her out the better half perhaps someone can help me. I can access the “All Users” Start Menu folder by right clicking the start button & selecting “Explore All Users” option. But when I try and access the actaul users “Start Menu” folder, I get an access denied. I even tried “Run as Administrator” when starting Windows Explorer, but still no luck. any help on this wouild be appreciated

If the users have set their account to be private, then even the Administrator can NOT access their folders.

Also the user MUST create a share for you to access their data, or one can Share the whole drive and then I think one can access the other users files.

Did you navigate to C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart Menu?
