      Bummer that NOD32 version 4.x doesn’t support Vista SP2.

      check this blog:

ESET suggests downgrading from version 4 to version 3. fortunately, I’m already using NOD32 v3.0.684 on a Vista SP2 based Dell laptop and didn’t have to upgrade to v4.

I respect anyone’s choice of their personal favorite security programs, but please reconsider ESET. Their antimalware has not fared well in independent lab testing. That’s a fact, not an opinion.

Given that there are perfectly good free alternatives, I see no reason to stick with security software which conflicts with an imprtant Windows Service Pack.

Just my opinion. Take it or leave it.

A “test” patch is now available for Vista SP2 users who have NOD32 v4.0x installed. Read this ESET KB article for more information.
